Terry Smart
Group Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director

Terry has a proven track record as one of Australia’s best retail executives and became Group CEO in August 2021. He was previously CEO of JB Hi-Fi from May 2010 to June 2014, following ten years as Chief Operating Officer, and oversaw significant expansion and growth during this time. Terry returned to the Group in April 2017 as Managing Director of The Good Guys and led the repositioning and significant improvement in performance of The Good Guys business.

Nick Wells
Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director

Nick has been Chief Financial Officer of the Group since 2014, having joined the Group in 2009. Prior to joining JB Hi-Fi, Nick was a Manager at Deloitte where he provided Audit and Assurance services to a broad range of companies, including a number of Australian retail businesses.

Cameron Trainor
Managing Director of JB Hi-Fi

Cameron has been Managing Director of JB Hi-Fi since October 2016, having joined the business in November 2009 as Merchandise Director. Between August 2018 and July 2019 he was the Managing Director Group Merchandise of the JB Hi-Fi Group, a short term appointment to assist the group to leverage its buying scale and processes across both JB Hi Fi and The Good Guys. Prior to joining JB Hi -Fi, Cameron worked for the Coles Group for 29 years holding senior roles in Store Operations and Merchandise Buying, including leading the Grocery and Fresh Foods Buying teams. Cameron is currently a Director of Narta International, Australia’s largest Buying and Retail Services company and he is also a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Biag Capasso
Managing Director of The Good Guys

Biag became Managing Director of The Good Guys in August 2021. Biag has been with The Good Guys since November 2011, holding several roles in the merchandise department, including Merchandise Director since May 2018. Prior to this, he was the Marketing and Merchandise Manager at Retravision for six years, and also led the Store Operations functions there for eight years.

Tim Edwards
Managing Director of JB Hi-Fi New Zealand

Tim joined JB Hi-Fi in July 2022 as Managing Director of its New Zealand business. Previously Tim was Chief Sales Officer for The Warehouse Group NZ and, prior to that, CEO for Noel Leeming Group. Tim worked for Harvey Norman Australia from 1995 till 2008 in various roles including as a buyer, franchisee, general manager, and as Managing Director of Space Furniture.

Lynda Blakely
Group HR Director

Lynda was appointed Group HR Director in June 2019 and leads strategic initiatives to support our people objectives, including our focus on diversity and inclusion. Joining the Group in 2016, Lynda was HR Director for The Good Guys, supporting the business through significant change including integration of JB Hi-Fi and The Good Guys. Previously, Lynda held senior HR and Sales leadership roles in the energy industry.

Tim Carter
Group Supply Chain Director

Tim has been Group Supply Chain Director since May 2016.  Tim has worked at the JB Hi-Fi Group for over 15 years, during which time he has led Online, Commercial and Supply Chain.  Tim was previously Chief Operating Officer at Catch of the Day, and has led key functions at EY, UBS and Symbion.

Andy Ellis
Group Commercial & Services Director

Andy joined JB Hi-Fi in May 2017 as Director of Telecommunications and Product Services. In July 2020, Andy became Group Commercial and Services Director. Prior to joining the Group, Andy spent 10 years with Telstra in various roles including Group Managing Director of Telstra Business and Executive Director Head of Retail Channels. Prior to this, Andy spent 13 years with the Dixons & Currys Group in the UK.

Simon Page
Group Technology Director

Simon has been Group Technology Director since July 2019, having joined JB Hi-Fi in September 2015 as Chief Information Officer. Prior to this, he was the GM of IT for Postal Services at Australia Post for two years, and GM Strategy and Architecture at Tabcorp for three years.

James Saretta
Group Strategy Director

James joined JB Hi-Fi in 2016 after working as a management consultant for over 20 years. With the acquisition of The Good Guys, James took on the role of Group Strategy Director working with both JB Hi-Fi and The Good Guys. James’s work as a management consultant focused on strategy development and facilitation across a number of industries including retail, telco, high tech, and government.

Doug Smith
Group General Counsel & Company Secretary

Doug joined the Group as General Counsel in 2010 and was appointed Company Secretary in 2012. His 25+ years legal and company secretarial experience includes time with Mayer Brown Rowe & Maw in London and Herbert Smith Freehills in Melbourne.
